zomerhuis

For the renovation of a 1950s house with a stunning view over the expansive fields of Lievegem, a complete reorganization was chosen. The living functions are now arranged around the central staircase, creating a smooth circulation and a sense of spatial interconnectedness, without compromising the intimate atmosphere of each living space.

The interventions were kept limited and economical. Investment was made in large new wooden window frames that draw the expansive feeling inside. Classy simplicity is complemented by bold colors and furniture that represent craftsmanship. The once neglected garage has been transformed into a sunlit studio space.

A deliberate choice was made for a mix of warm and cool tones, where the natural character of wooden parquet and deep red zelliges harmoniously blend with the robustness of concrete and aluminum. A blue kitchen adds the necessary cheerfulness.
